A letter to you part 1.

You’re more to me than you think you are.

Why don’t I let you read my articles. I don’t let you read them because there’s too much vulnerability in them. I’m an open book in my writing, I’m fully exposed and there are things about me that you don’t know and I prefer to keep them that way.

You see, you’re not just my IT guy friend, you’re more.

You’re not just that person I went to university with, you’re more.

You’re not just the person who helped me get out of my shitty post break up phase, you’re more.

You’re not just the person who I called to ask what brand of cigarettes I should get when my craving was at its height.

You see, I can’t let you see me completely exposed because your opinion matters to me more than you think. You are already beneath the surface but I can’t let you get in that deep. It’ll be too painful to let you go when the time comes and we both know the time will come. (That’s what she said).

Our feelings towards each other are mutual and they have been voiced out previously but some things are better left in the past. You and I both know our hearts don’t belong together in this life.

It’s said that certain people come in our lives for a reason and then when that is complete, they leave and that sucks but that’s just what life is. We can’t change the rules, what we can do is enjoy every minute and make the most of it. And we do that which makes all of this worthwhile.

You are so many things and are so driven when it comes to your professional life, you’ve come so far and I love seeing your progress.

You’ll go on to do brilliant things, I believe that because I see that in you.

You’re more than just my partner in PUBG.

You’re more to me than you think you are but the universe just isn’t in favor of us and that’s ok.

There’s so much to gain from the relationship that we’ve built.

You’re not just another person in passing, you are more and I’m so glad to have met you.
